Nutrition

Thanks to the protein powder, eggs and peanut butter, this loaf brings a solid protein hit alongside the natural sweetness of banana and coconut sugar, so it's a slice that satisfies the chocolate craving while still keeping you fuller for longer.

Storage

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or in the fridge for up to a week. It also freezes beautifully, slice it first and freeze for up to 2 months, then thaw or microwave straight from frozen.

A Little Final Note

Fudgy, chocolatey and secretly good for you, this banana bread is the kind of recipe that disappears fast. Bake a loaf, slice it up, and don't be surprised when it's gone by the next day, BB's 🍫

FAQs about this recipe

  • Chocolate Peanut Butter is the star here, but a plain Chocolate protein would work well too if that's what you have on hand.

  • We haven't tested an egg-free version of this one, but a flax egg (1 tbsp ground flaxseed + 3 tbsp water per egg) is worth trying if you'd like to experiment.

  • Yes, almond butter works as a 1:1 swap if you'd prefer, or need a peanut-free option.

  • This usually happens if it's slightly underbaked, check it's fully set with a skewer before removing from the oven, ovens can vary.

  • Brown sugar works as a straightforward swap if that's what you've got.
