Cinnamon sugar donuts with a protein-packed twist? Donut mind if we do. 👀

Soft, fluffy and coated in delicious cinnamon sugar, these Protein Cinnamon Donuts are everything you love about the classic bakery treat, with a little extra plant-powered goodness. Made with our Vanilla Cake Batter Plant Protein, they're baked instead of fried and perfect for your next sweet snack prep. Because who doesn't love a fresh cinnamon donut?

Method

1. Preheat the oven

Preheat your oven to 180°C fan-forced and lightly grease a donut pan.

2. Mix the dry ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the plain flour, Vanilla Cake Batter Plant Protein, caster sugar, baking powder, salt and ground cinnamon. Stir until evenly mixed.

3. Add the wet ingredients

Pour in the milk, Greek yoghurt, melted butter and vanilla extract. Gently mix until just combined, being careful not to overmix to keep your donuts soft and fluffy.

4. Fill the donut moulds

Spoon or pipe the batter evenly into the prepared donut pan, filling each mould approximately ¾ full.

5. Bake

Bake for 10-13 minutes, or until the donuts are lightly golden and cooked through.

6. Allow to cool

Let the donuts cool slightly in the pan before carefully removing them from the moulds.

7. Prepare the cinnamon sugar

In a small bowl, combine the caster sugar and ground cinnamon, mixing until evenly distributed.

8. Coat the donuts

Lightly brush each donut with melted butter, then dip or roll in the cinnamon sugar mixture until evenly coated.
