Healthy Hazelnut Protein Truffles

Ingredients

➕ 1/2 cup Almonds
➕ 1/4 cup Hazelnuts
➕ 1 cup Pitted Medjool Dates
➕ 1/4 cup Cacao Hazelnut Protein
➕ 6 tbsp Cacao Powder
➕ 2 tbsp Melted Cacao Butter
➕ 2 tsp Maple Syrup
➕ Pinch of Salt
➕ 16 Whole Hazelnuts (for the centre)

Looking for a cheeky snack without the guilt? These protein-packed truffles are rich in cacao and nutty goodness, made with wholesome Botanika Blends Cacao Hazelnut Protein. They’re gluten-free, refined sugar-free and made right here in Australia. Perfect for lunchboxes or an arvo pick-me-up.

Method

  1. In a food processor, blend almonds and hazelnuts until they form a fine meal.

  2. Add dates, Botanika Blends Cacao Hazelnut Protein, 4 tbsp cacao powder, melted cacao butter, maple syrup, and salt. Blend again until a sticky dough forms.

  3. Scoop approx. 25g (2 heaped tablespoons) of the mixture. Insert one whole hazelnut into the centre and roll into a ball.

  4. Dust with the remaining cacao powder. Place in fridge for at least 30 mins to set. Store chilled.
